Hong Kong’s first Classic Car and Vintage Festival is on this weekend! So if you’re looking for something to do, whether you like cars, all things vintage or just want to have some fun, why not check it out? It’ll be running 11am-10pm on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November at the Central Harbourfront Event Space (near the Central ferry piers).
Some friends of mine have organised this festival and it looks fab. There will be loads of great cars and bikes on show, many of which are privately owned and not normally available to see. There will also be a variety of automotive talks and demonstrations by a variety of industry professionals, automotive art on display and children’s workshops including building a wooden car!
But there is so much more to the festival than just the cars and bikes! You are encouraged to dress in vintage or vintage style clothing, and the best outfit will win a prize! But not to worry if you can’t quite get your outfit together beforehand, as there will be free vintage hair and makeup styling and you will be able to rent or buy vintage or vintage-style clothes!
For the kids there will be art and craft areas, face painting, balloon twisting, pedal and electric car track, and races including egg & spoon, sack & 3 legged races!
Chill out with a picnic lunch on picnic blankets and dance the night away with a Speakeasy 1920s night on the Saturday and a Rockabilly night on the Sunday. Or sit down with a pair of headphones and enjoy some silent cinema!
And there will also be helicopter rides over the city!
It looks like there will be loads to do, so why not book some tickets and head on over? Click here to buy your for tickets!
